A working fire-alarm model: a button triggers a buzzer and an LED — wired and demonstrated by the student.

Course Overview

An introduction to electricity for young students with no previous knowledge of circuits or electronics. Using a safe electric kit, students build basic circuits, turn LEDs on and off, control a fan, and create a simple fire-alarm model. Guided play, simple explanations, no complex formulas.

What you'll learn

  • Understand that electricity needs a complete path to flow
  • Identify circuit parts: battery, wires, switch, LED, motor, buzzer, and button
  • Know the difference between an open and a closed circuit
  • Understand the simple meaning of voltage, current, and resistance
  • Build a simple LED circuit using the electric kit
  • Turn a fan on and off using a switch or button
  • Build a simple fire-alarm model using a button and buzzer
  • Understand the difference between conductors and insulators
  • Recognise the difference between series and parallel connections

Final Outcome

A strong first understanding of electricity through safe, practical experiments — students know that electricity needs a complete circuit and can make light, sound, and movement.

The Final Project

A working fire-alarm model: a button triggers a buzzer and an LED — wired and demonstrated by the student.
