The System

How the journey works.

CTUx uses a 3-level progression system across 5 technology tracks. Students start where they are and grow at their own pace โ€” always building something real.

Tinkerers

Level 01

Explore basic technology through fun, simple projects.

Tinkerers is the entry point for all students. No prior experience is needed โ€” or expected. The focus is on building curiosity, confidence, and a love of technology through immediate hands-on results.

Recommended starting point: Most students begin with Computer Explorer to build digital fluency, then choose a build track (Mobile App, Web, Engineers, or Game Dev).

Makers

Level 02

Build real projects using coding, design, electronics, and AI.

Makers is where real skill-building begins. Students write code, build working apps, program Arduino boards, and create AI-powered games. Projects are ambitious and the results are tangible.

Prerequisite: completing the Tinkerers level in your chosen track, or Computer Explorer. Some tracks (e.g. Web Development) begin directly at Makers โ€” no prior course required.

Inventors

Level 03

Create advanced products, apps, games, and smart solutions.

Inventors is where the journey culminates. Students build professional-quality projects: a Flutter app with Firebase authentication, a 3D-printed PCB product, or a full 3D game in Godot. These are genuine portfolio pieces.

Prerequisite: completing the Makers course in the same track.
